The 434 accelerator is a multi-stakeholder initiative, thanks to support from the City of Charlottesville, the County of Albemarle, the Commonwealth of Virginia, and private foundations.

Operated out of Venture Central, 434 leverages the resources of the wider Charlottesville and Virginia ecosystem to not only support the select set of high-potential startups in the accelerator program, but also be a catalyst for the community-at-large.

IMPACT.

To date, 434 has supported 28 startups led by over 50 founders. These teams have gone on to collectively create over 125 jobs and raise greater than $28,000,000 in capital and grants — a multiple approaching 60x the grant support provided through the program.
